Mrs. Wolfe began playing the flute in fifth grade, and she fell in love with instrumental music. She
decided she wanted to learn to play all of the instruments that year, and made it her goal to become a band director. During middle school, high school, and college, Mrs. Wolfe was selected as the principal flute player in her various ensembles. She was also invited to participate in the PMEA District 7 honor band (2002), and the LVC honor band (2001-2002).
Mrs. Wolfe attended Philadelphia Biblical University for her undergraduate degree in music
education/flute. She studied under the flute instructor Margaret Claudin. While at school, she participated in many recitals, and was even given the opportunity to perform in a master class with David Cramer (Associate Principal flutist of the Philadelphia Orchestra). During her senior year, she performed a solo recital including the works of Bach, Debussy, and Goddard.
Since moving to Arizona in 2007, she has been busy playing under the instruction of Dr. Jenna
Daum, performing with the Central Arizona College community wind ensemble, and also with the Alla Breve flute choir. In addition to performing, Mrs. Wolfe maintains a private music studio at her residence. She teaches flute and piano.
Mrs. Wolfe taught concert band, jazz band, marching band, concert choir, jazz choir, general music, class piano, and class guitar for the Florence Unified School District for eight years. In 2015, she decided to move to the Laveen Elementary School District. Currently, she teaches concert band for 5-8th grade students at Desert Meadows and Vista Del Sur. During her time in Laveen, she has organized band tutoring before and after school, provided concert opportunities, and collaborated with the Phoenix Union High School District for combined concerts and participation in a football game performance. Her students have participated in the Phoenix Union Middle School Honor Band, Southern Arizona Honor Band, Central Arizona College Honor Band, and the Arizona All-State Middle School Honor Band. And in 2017, Mrs. Wolfe took her students to compete at the Music in the Parks Festival at Disneyland!
