Ron Bowman spends his days teaching Instrumental Music at Castillero Middle School. A native of Washington state, he moved to California to attend the University of Pacific's Conservatory of Music. Since then he has earned a Master of Music in Saxophone Performance from the University of Southern California and Master of Band Conducting from the American Band College. As a performer, Ron is a saxophonist with the San Francisco Wind Ensemble, plays saxophone and clarinet with Winchester Orchestra, the Cambrian Symphony, and is a woodwind doubler with theater groups throughout the bay area.
In 2016, Mr. Bowman made his Musical Director debut when he conducted "Nice Work If You Can Get It" for West Valley Light Opera. Still a performer at heart, he was bitten by the MD bug and conducted the majority of WVLO's season in 2017.
