Nathan Mohler is currently beginning his fourth year teaching at Indian River High School in Dagsboro, DE. Before teaching in high school, he taught 5 years of Elementary band in the same district. He is a graduate of West Chester University in West Chester, PA where he studied music education and played both trombone and bass trombone.
Over the years, Mr. Mohler has played in various performance groups in and around Philadelphia. For three years he was the trombone player of one of the top entertainment bands of Philadelphia, “Groove Place.” Most recently he was the bass player for a beach band call “The Runner-Ups.”
Mr. Mohler teaches private music lessons to a variety of students. Most of his students are brass players, but he does work with a few flutes and single reeds. Most of his students routinely make the Sussex County Honors Band, and a few have received the honor of earning a chair in the Delaware All-State Band.
In his personal life, he is a happy husband and proud father of one. He and his wife are expecting another baby in December of 2017. While not working, he and his family like to spend time camping and getting away from the weekly grind.
